It produces the highest power and generates the shortest pulse duration of 300 ps. This is accompanied by our PicoSure®, the world’s first picosecond laser which is a 755nm wavelength and is able to treat blue, purple, and green ink.

How many sessions are typically needed for tattoo removal?

The number of sessions required typically range from 8 to 12 treatments. Each session is typically 8 weeks apart, allowing for proper healing and optimal results. However, it’s important to understand that every tattoo is unique, considering factors such as ink colours, density, quality, size, placement and age of ink, as well as individual variations in immune response and detoxification capacity.

As a result, the number of sessions required vary from person to person. During your initial consultation with our qualified practitioners, we will be able to assess your specific tattoo and provide you with an estimate of the number of sessions needed.

Is laser tattoo removal painful?

Laser tattoo removal can cause some discomfort, but the level of pain experienced varies from person to person. The sensation during the treatment is often described as similar to the snapping of a rubber band against the skin or cooking oil spitting on the skin. However, most individuals find the pain to be tolerable and manageable especially given the treatments only last a few minutes. To help minimise any discomfort, numbing cream can be applied to the treatment area before the session.

Can laser treatments help reduce the appearance of scars?

Yes, laser treatments can be effective in reducing the appearance of scars. The Picostar can stimulate collagen production, improving skin texture and reducing scar visibility. The number of sessions needed will depend on the type and severity of the scar.

What should I do to prepare for laser treatments?

We will provide you with instructions to prepare for your laser treatment. This will include avoiding sun exposure, discontinuing certain medications or skincare products, and shaving the treatment area. It is essential to follow these instructions for optimal results and safety.

What should I do following a treatment session?

Apply ointment and a bandage to the treated area for the first 24 hours to protect it from abrasion.
During showering or bathing, only use warm water to rinse the treated area. Avoid using personal care products on it.
Keep the treated area covered with a bandage for one week after the treatment to promote healing and prevent abrasion.
Refrain from participating in sports or activities that may cause injury to the treated area for at least two days after the treatment.
Avoid saunas, hot tubs, or similar activities for a minimum of one week following the treatment.
If a scab has formed, avoid shaving the area to prevent any disruption or damage.
Protect the treated area from sunlight and tanning bed exposure, as the skin may be more susceptible to burning and developing hyper-pigmentation. If exposure is unavoidable, use SPF 30 or higher over the entire treated area until your tattoo is fully removed.
Do not use perfumed products or those containing alcohol on the treated area.
Follow the aftercare instructions provided by your practitioner for optimal results and proper healing.

How soon can I be in the sun before and after treatment?

For tattoo removal, we suggest avoiding exposing the lasered area to sun or UV for a minimum of 4 weeks after a session. If you are tanned, our recommendation is to wait until your tan subsides and your skin reverts back to its regular tone.
